Green The Look: Anna Kournikova Women’s Health November 2011
The Look
This shoot for Women’s Health with Anna Kournikova was so much fun. My direction from the editors was to keep the look light and pretty. Anna has a signature look of extended black eyeliner on top and bottom. On the tennis court she wears only sunscreen, eyeliner and mascara. I wanted to keep the essence of her signature look but needed to take it down a notch. To do that I used black liner on the top only and brown on the bottom then softened the lines with a smudger.
I gave Anna a tan using foundation three shades darker than her complexion to match her bronzed body. Then dusted her with a translucent powder. Next I washed a warm pinky brown eye shadow over the top of her lid and used black liquid eyeliner on top and brown pencil on the bottom leaving the water line natural. I curled her lashes and topped them with two coats of black mascara. Her lashes are naturally long and beautiful. A dusting of peach blush across her cheeks and pink glossy lips finished the look.
