Galen Shea butter is one of the best things I’ve found for dry skin. It emulsifies and soaks right in, leaving me smooth and not oily. I can use it anywhere I need a little extra hydration!
I feel good about buying it, too, because it’s produced from ingredients from a co-op in Togo, West Africa. The final manufacturing is done in Washington state, but 10% of the profits go back to the community in Togo!
Everything from Galen contains at least 50% certified organic ingredients. The other 50%? ‘wild craft harvested’ – which is what they call it when it’s organic, but the grower is too small to afford certification.
Galen also carries smooth emulsified Shea Cream, made from 100% wild craft harvested Shea butter from Ghana. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
The eco-philantrophist in me loves the fact that when I use either product, I’m helping sustain a community as well as my skin!
